London travels

I was lucky enough to have an amazing break this year and enjoy a European summer. Over the next couple of weeks l’ll show you some of my highlights which inspired me each day.

London was full of colour and texture, with so many different styles – so much to take in!

This was a gorgeous setting in Petersham nursery –  a painted armoire with a floral design, a coloured glass chandelier above a table of white ceramic cylinders and delicate tulip vases.

I had to check if the purple bougainville inside the glasshouse was real – it was! The homewares section within the nursery was a treat for the senses with mossy pots, birch tree stems, billowing bamboo shades and homewares set inside a lovely glass building.

A stunning display by visual merchandisers of woven dream catchers at a large store, showcasing Louis Vuitton, caught my eye. The vivid colours and patterns were a highlight.

This cafe was a riot of colour and pattern with the fruit and floral fabric on the chairs, the yellow and blue tessellated tiles, green leather banquettes, green hexagon tiles – dominated by the oversized mural with all the colours.

A gorgeous Tom Dixon light installation hung from the rafters in the Liberty store. I sourced a few lights from this collection for a client’s bedroom.

London was an amazing backdrop for traditional styles and classic collections which would work for any interior.

My next post is all about amazing Barcelona!
